Onion Curry !!!

Easy peasy Curry comes handy at a sudden advent of guests .It’s done in a couple of minutes with ingredients always available in the pantry.Also a very versatile which suits dosa,idly,roti,puris,appam.

Ingredients :-

Onions                       3-4 ( sliced )

Green Chilly               5-6 nos slit

Red chilly                    2 nos

Curry leaves                a few

Turmeric                      ¼ tsp

Salt                                to taste

Bengal dhal powder    11/2 – 2 tbsp

To Season :-

Oil                           1 tbsp

Mustard                  ¼ tsp

Urad dhal                ¼ tsp

Method :-

In a pan heat oil add the mustard ,urad dhal ,as it splutters .

Then add onions ,chillies ,curry leaves , salt &turmeric,let it get translucent.

Now add the Bengal gram dhal powder mixed in little water and give a good mix.

Let it cook till the raw smell leaves .

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with roti ,puri ,dosa,appam.


Note :-

For variation tomatoes can be added. Also vegetables like peas ,carrot & beans can be used.

Before adding the Bengal gram powder we can add the vegetables and wait for it to get cooked.
